Dr Sandra Mejak member of Knee Expert Advisory Group for Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care


Research since 2008 has suggested that knee arthroscopies are no better than other less invasive treatments for knee arthritis. Dr Mejak was invited to be a member of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare’s Knee Expert Advisory group investigating arthroscopy use in osteoarthritis and how to reduce unnecessary operations, meeting at ACSQHC headquarters in Sydney through to advise the government on strategies for change.
